Gordon Glazer announced today that San Diego Postal and Shipping is going to offer a series of Postal Knowledge seminars. “The seminars are designed to provide real world tools and understanding of various ways to bring efficiencies to your mail center operation. They Don’t Call it Bulk Mail Any More! 

This is the first of a 2 part session. This first part prepares the attendee to take advantage of USPS work share incentives, and how to make their mailings more effective. This is an introductory course that simplifies the process of qualifying and producing Automation Standard and Presorted First Class Mail. Attendees will learn the differences between these very popular mail formats, best practices, proper addressing formats, how to use postal templates, some tricks of the trade and how to avoid pitfalls. This course provides the fundamental postal knowledge necessary for Part 2 "Mail Automation made easy thru Desktop Software"

Automation Mailings can be a real puzzle without desktop mailing software. This session will show you ways that can improve the deliverability of your mail by improving the Address Quality and show real world tips on how to NOT make your mail look like "junk". It will compare techniques to perform these steps as a stand alone product or integrated into your host application.  Learn the tricks of the trade on how to hide “Sortation Marks” that make preparing Automation Mailings easy. Common software features are explored so you can decide what is most important for your operation.
